Castlerock National School has a very strong presence on the Dúchas website, the site dedicated to displaying the compiled stories, local history, pisreógs, fairy tales and customs collected by pupils in Irish primary schools during 1938-1939. Frank Haran was the teacher involved in Castlerock NS and the total number of stories collected and recorded amounted to a huge 80. These can be accessed by click on the name and roll no image on the left or by clicking here. 

You will note that the actual handwriting of the pupils has been maintained and that on the top right the transcribed version (see image left) can be viewed along with the arrows to allow moving on to the next page or story.

Each individual story can also be viewed by clicking on its name on the list of titles.
